This year, severe cholera outbreak, meningitis, and measles hit the southern part of the country. At the same time, polio is spreading in 15/61 districts. A total of 80 cases were registered in Mai out of 230 cases reported in 4 endemic countries and 3 re-established transmission countries. Despite scaled up immunization campaign and the fact that Chad has been declared polio free, polio has re-established and Chad has the highest number of cases worldwide, which is 34%.
