Heavy rainfall affected parts of Fiji due to a Tropical Depression currently located south of Vanua Levu island. As of 26 February, according to the national meteorological service of Fiji forecast, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to affect the islands of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lau and Lovaiviti groups, the eastern half of Viti Levu, Kadavu and the nearby smaller islands. Consequently, a Heavy Rain Warning is in effect for these islands.
