Comments:
Cabo Verde's Fogo volcano began erupting on 23 Nov 2014, and an emergency was declared for the islands of Fogo and neighboring Brava. The lava front has effectively cut road access to several communities, halting all evacuation effort by motorized vehicles. The lava has also claimed large agriculture fields. Large emissions of toxic gases represent a serious public health threat to local population.
