Comments: The current heatwave, ongoing since mid-July, is seriously affecting agriculture and people's health in South Phyongan and South Hamgyong Provinces. The heatwave has brought temperatures of over 39? across the country as of 3rd August. It is anticipated that this weather pattern will continue until mid-August and will significantly reduce the agricultural yield of the season. This is expected to cause serious consequences for the local food security and livelihoods.
