Heavy rains fell in the Mambere Kadei Prefecture in August, 2008 resulting in floods and landslide in Berberati, an area located 600 km North West of Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic (CAR), along the border with Cameroon. The landslide left three male children death, affected 51 families and left 225 people homeless. About 114 houses were also destroyed, some partially and others completely
