Heavy rains raised the water level of the rivers causing inundation and flooding of houses and agricultural land in four districts of the Republic of Adygeya and in five districts in Krasnodarskiy region of the Russian Federation. According to information from the Adygeya Red Cross branch and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, 102 houses have been completely destroyed, and 2,112 flooded. More than 9,000 people are affected, 1,755 of them are children. 1,000 people have been relocated to hosting families or relatives. A state of emergency has officially been declared in the affected areas. The local meteorological service forecasts envisage a second wave of heavy rains in the coming days.,
