Tropical Storm Wukong (Quinta) made landfall over Leyte in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines on 26 Dec 2012 and subsequently weakened to a tropical depression. As of 31 Dec, 20 deaths were reported and over 240,000 people were affected. Almost 58,000 people were served in 60 evacuation centers. 3,500 houses were damaged and 1,500 were destroyed.
