| Comments: | The Fiji Meteorological Office has released a tropical cyclone alert on Sunday, 12 November 2023 , expected to approach the Fiji Group on Tuesday and continue its journey through the country on Wednesday, November 15. The cyclone is expected to impact Viti Levu Island until November 15th, gradually weakening as it leaves the Fiji Group on the 16 November.
Fiji group is advised to be on alert for a possible tropical cyclone with gale to storm force winds from 14-15 November 2023. The winds could cause damage to structures, disrupt communication networks, and increase sea travel risks. Low-lying areas face flooding risks, including flash flooding. Heavy Rain Warnings and Heavy Rain Alerts are in place for the Northern Division, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Lau, and Lomaiviti Groups. |
