Since the past week, eastern Cuba is experiencing heavy rainfall and floods that resulted in casualties and damage. According to UN OCHA and media, one person died, more than 11,000 people have been evacuated and more than 10,000 houses impacted in Granma Province. Other provinces affected are Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey. On 13 June, light rain is expected over eastern Cuba and on 14 June, light to moderate rain is forecast across the central-western provinces of the country.
