Chile's Interior Ministry declared state of emergency in the cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar due to a raging forest fire and informed that about 6,000 people had already been evacuated and another 10,000 might have to be evacuated as a preventive measure. According to officials, the fire started on 13 Mar 2015 at an illegal garbage dump and spread quickly because of the strong winds in the area.
