Cyclone Bondo, at category 4, is expected to affect the northwestern Madagascar coast. Severe coastal flooding and beach erosion with the high likelihood for heavy, torrential rain throughout all of northern Madagascar is forecasted. This will lead to the increasing possibility for flooding, especially across the mountainous regions, through 26 Dec. GDACS red alert is in effect.
