Over 10,000 metric tons of oil has leaked into the sea off South Korea, following a collision between an oil tanker and another vessel. The oil threatens a stretch of scenic coastline 100 km south of Seoul. The affected area is an important stopover for migrating birds and has a significant fishing industry.
