After the storm has crossed Madagascar from East to West and left it on the 30th January in direction of Mozambique, it grew to be an intense tropical cyclone, named Boloetse and turned back towards the Southwest coast of Madagascar. On February 5, its tangential trajectory with a maximum strength came very close to the Atsimo Andrefana Region south of the city of Tulear,. Later, it developed into a tropical storm and headed towards the South-East diminished in its strength.
