Comments: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale occurred on 28 March at 00:35 local time (19:05 GMT). The earthquake hit the state of Utter Pradesh, approximately 190 km northeast of New Delhi. 100 people have reportedly been killed, some 250 injured and 156 houses damaged. Mild tremors continued to rock the area.
