By the end of the year it was estimated that more than 600,000 people had been displaced.

AC-2008-000256-IDN Tech. Disaster Indonesia on 6/26/2008 11:10 AM, Cassa Aircraft N212-200 crashed in Tegal Lilin Forest, on the slope of Mt.Salak. It killed all of the passengers.

Flood,Tajikistan: On 11 July 2026, following intense rainfall, flash floods and mudflows affected the villages of Darg and Kazdon in Shamtuch Jamoat, Ayni District, Sughd Region. Mudflows descended through the Surkhi, Kashak, and Jari river channels, causing significant damage to residential houses, public infrastructure, road networks, water supply systems, agricultural land, and private property. According to the official authorities, no fatalities or injuries have been reported. Damage and needs assessments are currently underway.
