On 21 January 2016, the National IHR Focal Point of Angola notified WHO of an outbreak of yellow fever. The first cases were identified in the district of Viana (Luanda province) on 5 December 2015. As of 8 February, a total of 164 suspected cases and 37 deaths had been reported in Angola.
