| Comments: | Monday 24 January 2022, sporadic gunfire was heard from the Ballen Village, Foni Kansala, West Coast Region in The Gambia, not far from the Gambia/Casamance border. According to GRCS communication officer, and also from residents in the Foni communities, the Senegalese ECOMIG troops (ECcomonic Community of Africa States -OWAS peace keeping forceMission in The Gambia)( ECOMIG) attempted to confiscate or seize a truck carrying wood logs.
