As of 5 November, Typhoon Damrey caused 29 deaths, destroyed 600 houses and damaged nearly 40,000 houses after hitting 10 provinces and the city of Danang on 4 November. National authorities have instructed all central and provincial agencies to scale up search and rescue and relief operations and to quickly restore damaged infrastructures. NGO partners with operations in the affected areas, including Save the Children and World Vision, have mobilized local staff and resources to support provincial authorities. No international assistance has been requested.
