Rusizi river rising due to floods from 30 April to 01 May 2020, resulting in displacement of people in Gatumba zone. The displaced people are currently settled in Kinyinya II settlement. The heavy rains have impacted the coastal zones destroying homes and other infrastructures. As a result of this 30th April and 1st May flooding at least 7,684 households (almost the whole population of Gatumba) have been displaced.
