Tropical Cyclone,Dominican Republic: On 28 July, a new Tropical Cyclone named ISAIAS formed over the Atlantic Ocean, very close to the Leeward Islands (Lesser Antilles) and passed over Dominica on 29 July, with maximum sustained wind of 75 km/h (tropical storm). On 30 July, its centre was located over the Caribbean Sea, south of Puerto Rico, approximately 345 km south-east of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) and approximately 580 km south-east of Port-au-Prince (Haiti).
NOAA has issued a tropical storm warning over the entire Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, coastal areas of the Dominican Republic and northern Haiti. Humanitarian partners are preparing to respond to potential impacts.
