Comments: Heavy rainfall has continued to affect Java islands in the past few days, causing floods and landslides that have resulted in casualties and damage. According to the National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure (BNPB), as of 6 December, two people died and six are still missing in the Simpenan district of the Sukabumi regency, in West Java province, where 216 houses and ten bridges have been damaged leaving several people isolated. For the next 24 hours, very heavy rainfall is still forecast over western Java island.
